NOAH Jaguars pull out a great win!

The Falcons jumped on the Jags in the top of the 1st inning with three runs on a walk, 2 errors, and 3 singles. The Jags answered with one run in the bottom half of the inning. Junior Trey Weaver singled and then advanced on an error after senior Parker McDaniel's single. In the 2nd the Falcons added 2 more runs on 3 singles giving them a 5-1 lead. In the bottom of the 2nd the Jags scored 3 runs on two walks and 3 singles. The Jags defense kept the Falcons scoreless in the 3rd. Freshman Joe Sabatini reached 2nd on an error and moved to 3rd on sophomore Jeb Penrod's single. Junior Sam Brownwood followed with an RBI single tying the game 5-5. In the 4th, the Falcons hit a home run to lead 6-5. In the 4th, junior Andrew Smith reached on a hit by pitch. Senior Avery Penrod hit a single and Parker McDaniel reached on an error. Andrew Smith scored the tying run on a wild pitch. Joe was walked loading the bases again. Jeb Penrod came through with a 3 RBI double to put the Jags ahead, 9-6! The Jags added another run in both the 5th and 6th to bring the score to 11-6. The Falcons threatened with bases loaded in the top of the 7th inning. The Falcons score one run on a sacrifice fly and then shortstop Jeb Penrod fielded a grounder and recorded the final out. Andrew Smith, Avery Penrod, Trey Weaver, Jeb Penrod, and Sam Brownwood each had two hits in the game. Jags win 11-7 and are 2-0 in the tournament.

Friday's game (weather pending - forecast for rain): 7 pm against Memphis Eagles who beat the Houston Thunder today. The Thunder beat the #1 Seed Dallas Angels in their opening game. The winner of the NOAH/Memphis game will secure a berth to the HWSA World Series in Pensacola, Florida and play for the Regional Championship on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
