12U Jags Capture Tournament Championship

In the first game for the Broken Arrow pre-season tournament the U12 Jaguar baseball team opened with the BA Sharks, the Jags won 10 to 9. Starting pitcher Kyle Shiew went 2 innings with 3 strike outs and 7 walks with relief pitching by Caleb Roberts going 2 innings with 5 strike outs and 4 walks. Caleb Holleman's double to the fence in right-center helped the Jags to 8 hits for 32 at bats. The Sharks hit the ball 6 times with no infield errors.


The Jags won the second game against the Lincoln Christian Bulldogs 12-0. Starting pitcher Caleb Holleman went 2 innings with 6 strike outs and 1 walk. In relief Andrew Sabatini went 2 innings with six strike outs followed by Josiah Redenius closing out the last inning with 2 strike outs. Logan Armstrong had three singles, Caleb Roberts had a triple and two singles, Sam Blount a double and two singles helping the team to 16 hits on 33 at bats. Our team had no errors.


At the semi-final bracket the Jags beat the BA Pirates 12-6. Starting pitcher Logan Armstrong went 2 innings with 3 strike outs and 2 walks with closer Andrew Sabatini finished the last 2 innings with 5 strike outs and 2 walks. Caleb Holleman had an unassisted double play to end the first inning leaving two Bulldogs stranded on base. The Jags had 15 hits on 30 at bats with a bases loaded triple from Caleb Holleman.


The Championship matchup Friday evening was an 11 to 5 victory for the Jags over the Sharks who came out of the losers bracket. Caleb Roberts pitched a complete game with 5 strike outs and 4 walks. Logan Armstrong provided a much needed triple and David Arjay drove in 2 runs with a deep double to right-center field. Andrew Sabatini shut the game down with a clutch triple down the right field line scoring the two runs needed for the run-rule victory.
