NOAH 9 Cascia Hall 1 - April 7

3A #18 Cascia Hall 1

With beautiful baseball weather and home field advantage the Jaguars put away 3A #18 Cascia Hall Commandos 9-1. The Commandos scored their only run in the 1st after 3 singles but left the bases loaded without scoring any more. The Jaguars answered with 3 singles and two runs in the bottom of the 1st. Then the Jaguars added 5 more runs in the 2nd inning after 4 singles, 2 Cascia errors, a walk and a hit batsman. Cascia threatened again in the 3rd with bases loaded but still couldn't score. In the 3rd the Jaguars added one more run and another in the bottom of the 5th giving them a 9-1 lead. With an 8 run lead after 5 innings the game was called. Five Jaguars had two hits apiece: Joe Sabatini (single, double), Andrew Smith, Trey Weaver, Sam Brownwood, and Justin Leekley.

STARTER and winning pitching: John Tyree, 1 earned run, 5 hits, 2 strikeouts
Reliever: Avery Penrod no runs, 1 double

The Jags even their season record 9-9. Jags play 6A East Central Cardinal on Friday, April 10th at LaFortune Park. First pitch is 4:30 p.m. followed by the JV game.

The Jags then travel to Plano, Texas on April 14th for the HWSA Regional Qualifer Tournament.
