GAME 2
NOAH 13
Union JV 11

BRRR!!! Actually the wind died down just a little and it wasn't quite as cold, or everyone was just numb from the 1st game. Despite the cold both teams bats were swinging but fielding errors were a plenty for both teams. Trey Weaver led off the game on a single then later scored on a passed ball. The bases were loaded after a fielder's choice and two walks when Avery Penrod hit a hard double to left and gave the Jags a 4 run lead. Union matched that with four runs in the bottom of the first. In the 2nd Josh Lay hit a double but got out advancing to third. Trey Weaver hit another single then scored on Joe Sabatini's RBI single. Andrew Smith was the courtesy runner for Joe and came into score on a passed ball. In the bottom of the 2nd Union added 3 more to tie the game again. In the 3rd the Jags added two more runs on 3 singles. Union took the lead in the bottom of the 3rd 9-8. The Jags came back to tie the game again after two singles and a walk and held Union scoreless in the bottom of the 4th. In the top of the 5th with 3 singles and 2 Union errors the Jags went on top 13-9. Union could only get two runs in the bottom of the 5th and after about 5 hours of very cold baseball the Jags went home with the win 13-11.
