@ Cascia Hall's Richard LeMay Field
NOAH Jaguars 3
3A #19 Cascia Hall Commandos 2
The Commandos jumped to a two run lead in the bottom of the first inning off 4 hits. They kept the Jaguars from scoring with a double play in each of the first three innings. In the top of the 4th, junior Trey Weaver started off with a double down the 3rd base line. Senior Parker mcDaniel walked. Sophomore Jeb Penrod hit an RBI single scoring Trey Weaver. Then Josh Lay, who was courtesy running for Parker McDaniel, came into score on a bad pick off throw by the pitcher to 2nd base to tie the game 2-2. The Jaguar defense made some nice plays and kept the Commandos off the board. In the top of the 6th, Parker McDaniel hit a towering HOME RUN over the right field fence to give the Jags the lead of the game. Andrew Smith hit a double in the top of the 7th but was left stranded on base. Avery Penrod recorded the final out of the game when he made a stellar play and robbed the Commando batter of a hit down the 3rd base line to secure the win for the Jaguars 3-2.
The Jaguars play again on Saturday, April 25th at LaFortune Park versus Word of Life Fire from Wichita, KS. JV starts at 1 pm with Varsity following.
Starting Pitcher: Avery Penrod 4 innings, 2 runs, 10 hits, 2 strikeouts
