Bristow 3 NOAH 2 in 8 innings - Apr 13th

Bristow 3  in 8 innings

A tough loss in extra innings.  The Jaguars and the Pirates played a good tough game against each other on another beautiful night.  The game was scoreless until the 5th inning. In the first inning Jeb Penrod hit a double but was left stranded. In the 4th inning Joe Sabatini hit a one out triple but couldn't get home.  In the top of the 5th Bristow scored 2 runs on 3 singles and an error.  In the 6th the Jags answered with two runs to tie the game.  John Tyree reached on an error then scored on Joe Sabatini's double and then Joe later scored after Caleb Baca reached on an error (one of three errors in the inning). In the 6th the Pirates threatened and with bases loaded. Catcher Joe Sabatini made a diving catch of a foul ball to end the inning. Neither team scored in the 7th inning putting the game into extra innings.  In the top of the 8th the Pirates got one run giving them the lead. In the bottom of the Caleb Baca hit a two out single followed by Josh Ferguson's single but neither were able to come in to score.

Austin Ervin pitched 5 solid innings allowing 2 runs, 1 earned, 4 singles, and 4 strikeouts. John Tyree relieved in the 6th inning and started the 8th inning before Cole Wilson relieved him.  John Tyree allowed one unearned run on 3 hits and 2 walks. They hit two hits on Cole before the game ended on a fly ball that Erik Willis caught with bases loaded.


The NOAH JV won 4-3 scoring all 4 runs in the bottom half of the last inning.  The JV extends their winning streak to 7 games.
