A Big Win and Big Home Opener
With the stands filled with lots of NOAH friends and families the Jags won their home opener 7-1 against 2A Ketchum Warriors.
After a scoreless inning and a half, freshman Joe Sabatini lead off the bottom half of the 2nd inning with a double then later scored on junior John Tyree's RBI single. In the 3rd, senior Avery Penrod led off for the Jags with a single and advanced to third on a throwing error. He was able to score on junior Trey Weaver's RBI single. Sophomore Jebediah Penrod followed with a two run HOME RUN! over the left field fence. The Jag bats weren't done yet. Joe Sabatini hit his second double of the game and came in to score on an error. The next two batters walked and then John Tyree hit another RBI single bringing the score to 7-0 for the Jags. The Warriors were able to get one unearned run in the 6th inning.

The Jags bring their record to 2-1 with a great win at home. Special thank you to all the NOAH families for coming out to support your Diamond Jags!
Avery Penrod was the starting pitcher for the Jags and recorded the win. He pitched 4 solid innings allowing only 2 hits (1 double) and striking out five batters. Junior Andrew Smith relieved and recorded the save. He pitched 3 innings allowing 1 unearned run, 4 hits (1 double) and five strikeouts.
The NOAH JV lost to Ketchum JV 6-4.
Next game: Monday, March 9th at Webster. Varisty game time 4 pm followed by the JV. The game will be played at Reed Park. This is at the southwest corner of Union and 41st St. Tulsa. Union runs parallel to Hwy 75 south of I-44.
