NOAH vs Metro Christian Game Cancelled - March 31

The game today at Metro Christian has been cancelled due to wet field conditions.

NOAH will play Tulsa Webster tomorrow at LaFortune. First pitch is 4:00 p.m.

NOAH will also play in the Beggs Classic this week. Due to the field conditions, game dates and times are being rearranged and will be posted soon.

NOAH vs Sand Springs Game Cancelled - March 30th

Due to wet conditions, the Sand Springs game today is cancelled. It has been rescheduled for April 20th.

The Claremore Christian Tournament on April 2-4 has been cancelled. We are in the process of scheduling games or a tournament to fill these dates.

The varsity will play at Metro Christian tomorrow at 6:30 p.m., weather permitting.

Mounds Tournament Results

Mounds Tournament Game 1
Morris 8 NOAH 3


The Morris Eagles struck first getting one run on 3 hits in the bottom of the 1st and then added another run in the 2nd. In the top of the 5th, junior Sam Brownwood reached on an error and then scored on Cole Wilson's single, his first Varsity hit. The Eagles led off the 5th with a home run for a 3-1 lead. In the top of the 6th inning Jebediah Penrod led off with a single, followed by a single by Joe Sabatini. Both came in to score on Sam Brownwood's single to tie the game, 3-3. In the bottom of the sixth the Eagles tallied 5 more runs on 3 hits and 3 Jag errors. The Eagles pitcher struck out the side to secure the win for Morris, 8-3, sending the Jags to the consolation bracket.


Austin Ervin started and pitched 5 innings allowing 3 runs (2 earned), 5 hits (one home run), one walk and one strike out. Sam Brownwood relieved and recorded the loss allowing 5 runs (only one earned), 3 hits including a triple, a walk and two strikeouts.

Beggs got on the scoreboard first. In the top of the first they led off with a double and then scored on a single. The Jags tallied 10 runs in the bottom of the first. Trey Weaver led of the game with a walk and later scored on a passed ball. John Tyree reached on an error and was later tagged out while advancing to third. Parker McDaniel drew another walk. Sam Brownwood reached on a fielder's choice. Jebediah Penrod was hit by a pitch loading the bases. Avery Penrod then hit a GRAND SLAM, his first home run of the year. Joe Sabatini reached on a walk and advanced around the bases on an error and a passed ball. Justin Leekley reached on a fielder's choice followed by 3 walks in a row. Sam Brownwood delivered a 2-run single. Jebediah Penrod followed with an RBI double to put the Jags on top 10-1. In the bottom of the 3rd the game was stopped for lightning and the threat of severe storms. Beggs conceded the game giving the Jags the victory.


Avery Penrod started and pitched all 3 innings allowing one earned run on 2 hits (one double), one walk and 2 strikeouts. Another win was recorded for Avery Penrod.


The Jags game on Friday was postponed until a later date.

The Jags will travel on Monday, March 30th to take on the Sand Springs Sandites.

Mounds Tournament - March 25-27

Due to the upcoming wintery weather forecast the Mounds tournament has been moved up ONE DAY. Keep updated on the Jag line 365-2279 daily!


Wednesday 6:45 p.m. vs Morris - be at the field by no later than 6 pm, bring both black and blue jerseys

Thursday - if we win we play at 4:30 (vs the winner of the Lincoln Christian/Beggs JV) or noon (against the loser)

Friday - championship game 5 pm, 3rd place game 2:30 or consolation championship game at noon




Mounds High School: Go South on Hwy 75 out of Tulsa. Go through Glenpool. There is a Mounds turn-off on Hwy 75 about 4.5 to 5 miles south of the Hwy 67 exit on Hwy 75. This turn will be marked Mounds with a arrow but is small. The street is W 201st St S. Turn right off Hwy 75 onto W 201st S. 201st will run into Alt 75 after about 2.5 miles. Turn right on Alt 75 and go through downtown. Turn right onto 16th and this will take you straight to the school. The field is on the north side of the school.

Varsity Jags win home opener 7-1!

A Big Win and Big Home Opener

With the stands filled with lots of NOAH friends and families the Jags won their home opener 7-1 against 2A Ketchum Warriors.

After a scoreless inning and a half, freshman Joe Sabatini lead off the bottom half of the 2nd inning with a double then later scored on junior John Tyree's RBI single. In the 3rd, senior Avery Penrod led off for the Jags with a single and advanced to third on a throwing error. He was able to score on junior Trey Weaver's RBI single. Sophomore Jebediah Penrod followed with a two run HOME RUN! over the left field fence. The Jag bats weren't done yet. Joe Sabatini hit his second double of the game and came in to score on an error. The next two batters walked and then John Tyree hit another RBI single bringing the score to 7-0 for the Jags. The Warriors were able to get one unearned run in the 6th inning.

The Jags bring their record to 2-1 with a great win at home. Special thank you to all the NOAH families for coming out to support your Diamond Jags!

Avery Penrod was the starting pitcher for the Jags and recorded the win. He pitched 4 solid innings allowing only 2 hits (1 double) and striking out five batters. Junior Andrew Smith relieved and recorded the save. He pitched 3 innings allowing 1 unearned run, 4 hits (1 double) and five strikeouts.

The NOAH JV lost to Ketchum JV 6-4.

Next game: Monday, March 9th at Webster. Varisty game time 4 pm followed by the JV. The game will be played at Reed Park. This is at the southwest corner of Union and 41st St. Tulsa. Union runs parallel to Hwy 75 south of I-44.

High School Baseball Home Opener

NOAH Jaguars High School Baseball Home Opener
March 6, 2009

The NOAH high school baseball home opener is Friday, March 6th against 2A Ketchum Warriors at LaFortune Park (Legion Field). Varsity’s first pitch is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. The JV will play immediately following the varsity game.

ALL NOAH families are admitted free. Just tell the gate attendant you are with NOAH. Be sure to wear Jaguar colors to support your teams. The weather looks promising so bring your family, enjoy some peanuts and watch America’s favorite past time! Concession will be available.
